Hello guys! Finally! We got our case number today. Then when I checked the site it says, READY.

WAAAH. I am so HAPPY. But now I feel lost. What's the next step? Once I set my appointment for the interview, I will see the necessary documents? So I'll do that first?  See link below for what is next.

Once I set my interview date, will I see the step by step process? No you will not see the next steps. Most Embassy mail you a Embassy letter outlining what is needed but PhilPost is not very trusting. Again, use the link below and there is a link for the Embassy Letter. Should we still wait for the NVC letter to arrive? No as it sometimes doesn't arrive. Wouldn't I need the original copy for my interview? Not needed for the interview as they already have it in their computer with your electronic file. You will need a copy for AOS once in the USA.

Follow these steps from this website and you will not have any problems. Hank walks you through each step of the way. This is for processing your visa through US Embassy Manila

congratulations i know that must have been so frustrating. I hope the rest of the process will go smoothly! Now to get our  from “in transit” to “ready”, thank goodness for all the support here as we were able to complete most of the requirements prior to the recent update by nvc tracker. Now it’s just pay visa fee, schedule medical and then the interview - i am starting to see the light at the end of this heart wrenching difficult first phase 😬👍 so many frustrating nights, stresses and what have you are finally coming to an end soon - thanks to all the wonderful people here on Visa Journey 🎈🙏🍾❤️ navigating through this process makes it so much more easier having the support of those who walk the walk

I was only able to call the NVC last night. So I wasn't really able to track when it was in transit. :) Check it now. Maybe yours is READY is well. Good luck.

Here's what I found for Qatar

Appointments are necessary for immigrant visa interviews, but the petitioner is not required to attend.
Applicants whose applications were processed by NVC should bring their valid passports, the medical examination report provided by the Embassy’s panel physician, as well as any other documentation not already provided to NVC, to their visa interviews. Applicants whose applications were processed at the Embassy should carefully review the instructions they have received from the Embassy to ensure they have assembled all the necessary documents.  During the interview process, ink-free, digital fingerprint scans will be taken. Each applicant must appear in person for his/her interview. At that time all documents will be evaluated by a consular officer and a decision will be made.

https://qa.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

You should change your profile from Philippines to Qatar. Your current profile suggest you are interviewing at the Embassy in Manila and not Qatar.

Also see if anyone in the Sub forum for the middle east can help you. To get there go to the top of this page and select forums. Travel about halfway down and you'll see subforms and select the Middle East.

Hi guys. Filled out ds160 after I received an email from nvc saying my case was in transit. I checked last night the status and it said 'ready'.  Now I need to schedule the interview at the consulate appointment website. I tried yesterday as soon as it said 'ready', but I wouldn't go. In order to schedule the interview we need to enter the case number there. I put the nvc case number and it said it was not ready yet. Anyone from Brazil scheduling the interview now? We have to pay first and then schedule, right?

Things have suddenly moved fast at NVC for me... Finally received my case number last Thursday. Agonised over the 'At NVC' status for the next five days... This morning, I saw that the status was 'In Transit'. So I finally went ahead and booked my medical at Knightsbridge. Annoyingly, their earliest appointment is 19th April but at least that gives me plenty of time to feel prepared (although I already have my jabs and all paperwork I need!). I can keep asking if they have anything sooner, although I'm told cancellations are rare.

I also filled in my DS-160 this morning, which is a nightmare with those awfully quick timeouts. A word of warning to those still to submit their DS-160: SAVE YOUR APPLICATION NUMBER IMMEDIATELY. I thought this would automatically be stored if you need to retrieve your application whilst going through the submission process. It is not. I got all the way to end, had to fiddle with my photo and during that time, the page timed out. Thankfully others have realised there's no other way to get back your application ID via the site itself (there's not even a 'forgot ID' option) but you can follow these instructions which helped me find mine with the website code in my cache: https://travel.stackexchange.com/questions/95081/how-to-retrieve-the-ds-160-application

During the time I finished my DS-160 (what with its fiddly photo settings, can be time consuming!), I checked back on the CEAC tracker. Now my case says 'READY'. Yes!! The only issue is that it seems to have happened so recently, I still can't apply for my London embassy appointment online. I'll keep trying, since I'm really keen to get into the final dates of when this will all finally start coming to an end.

I hope everyone else's applications go smoothly and quickly once they're into the NVC and local embassy stages!

What I don't know is if I should wait for the Packet to arrive with the instructions before I pay for the VISA and before I set my interview. Sigh. No one is answering the phone in the US Embassy here. I did the DS-160 already. Now I'm just confused what to do next.

Do you have to wait for the actual paperwork? In the UK, people can book their interview as soon as they have their case number and DS-160 application number (with varying degrees of success).

Congrats!  We got number the 16th!  Still waiting for it to move.  I see you are in Boston.  One of the things I want to do with my fiancee this summer is take her to a game at Fenway Park!
