GUYS, so i've filled out the DS-160 form... now what? I want to schedule my medical whilst gathering all the other documents needed. Can i since i've recieved the letter from the embassy? I'm confused.

Like I tell others go over to the sub-forum for your country and ask the experts.  People here are great to befriend and bond with will you are going up to the NVC stage. After that they are busy with their country specific and may or may not know the answer to your question.

Here's the link.  http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/

For others if you want to find your sub-forum go to the top menu bar select "Forums" and scroll about half way down the page to "Regional Discussions" and look for your country.

yeah i guess so, UAE isn't listed on it.. I guess I really need to wait for my case to be 'Ready' and hope that they'll send right away the Packet 3 to proceed on Medical and Interview..

Whew

Have you tried your sub-forum. Someone there will know where to locate the "Embassy Letter" and you can get started and not have to wait for Embassy. It's done all the time.

This is exactly why I stopped helping people, or why I stopped doing it on a grand scale.

You guys are always SO WELCOME to information as long as it's what you want to hear. As soon as someone says that something might really take as long as USCIS/NVC estimates, you start throwing a fit and tell us to butt out.

This process is stressful. If you want to sit here and dig for more information than what is in front of you, you're welcome to do it. With that being said, I have seen SO much complaining over the last few days in this thread. There are people here who might feel stifled and like they can't talk about the good progress their case is having. Some of you are incredibly bitter, and it does drive people away.

If you want to cope, try to at least be realistic about it. Don't sit here and ignore the good, helpful - albeit NOT what you want to hear - information. Just because it's not convenient for you doesn't mean that it's false.

Also, if you're going to compare me to @Naes, that's a giant compliment. Do note that people ####### all over her, too.

I couldn't agree with you more.  I have experience the same and I copy down the name of the person and if they are in need of information well .....

If more people tried Google and their sub-forums they just might get thought this. Can you can bring the horse to the water but you can't make it drink. Be careful, the horse can still kick you and often does.

My status at the NVC updated! It says "In Transit" However now my status has this update underneath and I'm a bit confused.

I didn't make an interview appointment yet though. So what could this mean?

NVC doesn't schedule interview dates for K-1's just for CR-1 which you are not but I am not totally sure because you are in Thailand. Have you asked this question in your sub-forum?

I'm so relieved. Yesterday I was told the 'we need 8 weeks to process case numbers' line. Today, I finally received my case number! I'm so over the moon. I'm thrilled we received ours on the same day @blenheim! How about that? I saw your good news, and then thought, "I wonder if I'll have good news too?". And I did!

Of course a secondary set of panic sinks in as I get paranoid that despite all my preparations so far, I'm still forgetting something... But for now, I want to enjoy the delight of finally getting my case number just over a month after NOA2.

You can only reschedule the interview two times.  Then you will be required to wait 90 days before paying and rescheduling your new interview date.

 See above.

Ahh then may be its country specific. The customer care lady told me I’ve 4 chances to reschedule it since I used one now.:o

Hello, guys !

Our case is at NVC and we are waiting for it to be sent to local embassy any day now.I have a question about DS-160 form.As I have read that it needs to be submitted before interview, I already submitted it, even though our case sits at NVC and interview won't be in before May.Is there any problem in submitting it this early ?

My second question is about IMBRA pamphlet mentioned on DS-160.After having tough time with internet browser, being sometimes kicked out from form and doing it all over again for few times, I managed to finish DS-160 and on the last page before confimation, this statement was written, along with checking the box that I declare to marry my fiancee withing 90 days :

“I hereby certify that I have received a copy of the IMBRA Pamphlet as part of my application packet.”

I haven't received this pamphlet, I got confused at a time thinking that it is not important and it is basically information about IMBRA, but I still submitted the form.

Do you think I might have problems for it ?

Our embassy emailed us an electric copy of the IMBRA Pamphet after they received our case. It's not important (i.e. it has nothing to do with us since we didn't use a marriage broker). I think I skimmed over it and then disregarded.
