We got a PS4 as well. I'm a PC gamer, but he wanted it, so I conceded and now it's gathering dust when he's in the UK. What sort of games do you play?

Though not with information regarding my visa ): I sent a letter to the USCIS California Service center in February to see if they would be able to change my fiance's address since he had moved the day before, and the ended up forwarding my letter to the NVC, which they responded to today (a month later), saying they are unable to do that.

GUYS, so i've filled out the DS-160 form... now what? I want to schedule my medical whilst gathering all the other documents needed. Can i since i've recieved the letter from the embassy? I'm confused.

Yup go ahead and ring knights bridge. .. make sure you have your police report they won't let you book your medical without it... (or say you have it then pay for the 2 days express delivery) then book your interview... you just need your case number. I left 8 days between medical and interview and my stuff was at the embassy in time. People have left 5 and there docs have not been there and they have basically been put to the bottom of the pile. So just be aware :)

My status at the NVC updated! It says "In Transit" However now my status has this update underneath and I'm a bit confused.

Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

I didn't make an interview appointment yet though. So what could this mean?

Some embassy's automatically provide an interview date. I'd ring your embassy and find out

I called NVC again today. The rep just said "we have your case since March 12th. We're working on creating you a case #. Anything else, ma'am?". I'm just anxious to give them my and my fiance's email address, cause I'm not sure they have it. I should be patient, but I'm thinking about calling again later on tonight hahaha

Ours said the same thing but it wasn't the case. We had to actually email them and ask for an interview date. Once your embassy receives your case and sends you your information, it should be clear what steps to take to schedule the interview.

I have a question and would appreciate any help provided. My fiancee is a Philippine citizen living in Japan and her son lives in the Philippines with her mother. We just received out NVC case number and are going to fill out the DS-160. She is going to do her interview at the Tokyo embassy. Then her son will be coming later as part of the follow to join option. My question is does she need to fill out a DS-160 for him now or wait and do it within the year allowed for him to do his interview and get his visa?

She completes her's now and the child when she is ready to pay his fee and schedule his appointment.

Hi Everyone,

We just got our case number today and shortly the CEAC website says it is now in transit to USEM ( Philippines).

July 28, 2017 - I-129F Sent

Aug 03, 2017 - NOA1  ( I-129F received)

Feb 21, 2018- NOA2  approval

Feb 22, 2018 - NOA2 updated in USCIS website ( 203 days)

March 14, 2018 - NVC Received/ NVC #number

I got this notification as well: " Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

Do I go ahead and schedule for interview or follow what the notification above says - interview date provided by the NVC?

Appreciate your help in advance. Good luck to everyone in this journey :)

If you have your case number (for the Philippines it's referred to as the MNL#) then you are now in control on how fast you want to get this behind you. Don't waste time head over here (see below) and you will get step by step instructions as to what needs to be done, where and when and it's FREE to use.

Ohh wow really?? that's really a long wait... how many times you can reschedule interview btw?

You can only reschedule the interview two times.  Then you will be required to wait 90 days before paying and rescheduling your new interview date.

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well.

Our case is at the Embassy for the last 2 weeks. Some of the documents are taking time obtain, therefore we are still could not schedule the interview. I was wondering how long our case will stay at the Embassy? Is there a timeframe that we have to schedule the interview in?

You have up to a year to schedule and complete your interview and receive your visa. The Embassy will extend 3 months at a time. Don't wait till the last minute.
