I was just coming on to say the same thing!!!! So happy I was getting ready to call today and be like ####### because they gave us our case number on March 2nd and then I checked and it said "In Transit" :):):)

Yey! Good for you... ;) when they gave me our case number I actually check it every after 2 hours (kinda paranoid ehhh lol)

Then while i was in a call with my Fiance... he asked me to try to check it... and vwwuala! it changed to "In transit" :D I was really happy!!! He also received email from NVC that I can start to fill up ds-160 etc

Every time I've called this past week I was told it takes up to two weeks, I call today and am told it can take up to 8 weeks. I don't think this is a standard time frame :( Maybe it was when things were slow in January/December, but I don't think it's taking that long the past weeks.

Believe me I heard the same while we were still waiting for the case number.. ^_^ you can always try to call them after 6/7pm to avoid long wait...

Aug 03, 2017 - NOA1  ( I-129F received)

Feb 21, 2018- NOA2  approval

Feb 22, 2018 - NOA2 updated in USCIS website ( 203 days)

March 14, 2018 - NVC Received/ NVC #number

I got this notification as well: " Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

Do I go ahead and schedule for interview or follow what the notification above says - interview date provided by the NVC?

Appreciate your help in advance. Good luck to everyone in this journey :)

Hey there, we receive the same email... you can start doing your ds-160 however in regards to scheduling for the interview, I guess it depends on the consulate... for instance in my case I will have to wait for packet 3 (Embassy Letter) that contains instructions to proceed on the medical and interview before doing anything.... I suggest you double check yours... Best of luck to all of us ^_^

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well.

Our case is at the Embassy for the last 2 weeks. Some of the documents are taking time obtain, therefore we are still could not schedule the interview. I was wondering how long our case will stay at the Embassy? Is there a timeframe that we have to schedule the interview in?

is it possible to check the availability without paying the fee or has to complete the ds-160 then pay then select for the date of interview?

our case still says ''In transit''
