You need to prepare for a London interview or take a few extra months to get the case transferred to the Netherlands. Process is contact Netherlands and ask that they accept your case. They must contact embassy in London to say they accept your case and request it be transferred to them. Then London has to send to them. That's going to be a lot of unknown waiting around for two government agencies to coordinate, once you ask Netherlands to do it. Then wait on Netherlands to notify you to begin their version of the process.

Thanks for the reply. How do you know this? It sounds realistic though. I wonder if it really takes months to transfer? You would think it would take a max of 2 weeks. But then again, we are talking about government agencies..

I'm a bit sad because we called both USCIS and NVC before I moved and they said that if we changed the address before they send our case to the embassy in London they would just send it to the nearest one, so to Amsterdam.

Now I have to decide to go back to London for the interview and medical, but that means I have to find a place to stay at for around 14 days (medical, interview and 7-10 days before I get my passport back) or to transfer it to Amsterdam and potentially delay the process EVEN MORE! I am Dutch though so it would be easier to go there because I wouldn't have to translate all my documents.

It's going to be almost 1 year, it's crazy.

Well my fiancé is going to call tonight so I will know more.

I’m getting frustrated over still not having a case number. NVC received my case almost a week ago (March 7). I’m worried that there’s an issue and it’ll be sent back to USCIS :/ I call at least twice a day

They're not open on weekends so today is the start of the 3rd business day. I've seen some people take 3-5 days for a case number lately.

When I call and get the “it can take two weeks to create a case number”, I think they mean not only business days when they read that script? Anyway, I hope you’re right! I can wait 3-5 business days, but am worried because my NOA2 has an embassy listed on it that doesn’t process K1 visas. It says Oslo, but only Stockholm in Sweden processes K1 visas for Scandinavia. Every person I’ve talked to at NVC said this isn’t an issue, they forward to nearest embassy that accepts K1 visas, but I’m worried this is the issue and it’ll get sent back to USCIS for some reason.

The one's I've read about having the case sent back didn't even have a case number assigned, they were just sent back. So I think you should be good on that part. That's a fear of mine too and they haven't even received mine yet.

I don’t have a case number assigned either, so maybe mine will just get sent back :(

What is happening when you call NVC?

Oh yeah, that's right. I somehow misread your post. The one I read about recently being sent back, NVC didn't even tell him they had it. USCIS told him it was sent back from them. They just kept telling him they didn't have it.

I'm still waiting for them to receive mine. I get the, "it can take 6 weeks to receive" every time.

I'm hoping mine was shipped in the same shipment as yours. I called earlier this morning around 9 AM and they hadn't received it yet.
