Thank you :) Initially she told me that it would take 2 weeks to provide case number.. then I asked her so I should call 2 weeks from now.. She was very nice and told me "No, you can call by the end of the week or early next week"

I think calling everyday wouldn't hurt... if they say they haven't received it yet just say thank you then call the following day.

Applied for AOS/EAD/AP : August 7, 2018 (via USPS)

USCIS Chicago received the package: August 9, 2018

Yes, and if you call early, you can also call after 7pm eastern time. I got my case number today. This afternoon I called around 12 and they told me they didn’t have my case number and have me the 2 weeks shenanigans. I, called again around 7:30pm and they had my case number already. That being said, if you only want to call once a day, it’s best to call after 7, when all the mail is put into the system.

Yep! totally agree.. my fiance tried to call the first time around 3pm and was put on hold for more than 15 minutes...  after 6-7pm is the best time to call, at least for my experience.

How many days of waiting was it to get the NVC number?

My fiancé called the nvc earlier and said we have a mnl case # already😄

questions for those Filipina here can I pay for the visa fee now and set an interview?thanks in advance.

You still have to wait for the CEAC website that says your status is already "Ready",  then you can move forward preparing for the interview.  Link: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Congrats anyway :) May i ask when you did received your NOA2?

Yes you can actually pay for the fee after receiving the mnl case number, then you still have to wait for the CEAC website that says your status is already "Ready",  then you can move forward preparing for the interview.  Link: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

That will do as well 😄 There are few options you can choose to process the K1 Visa tho

May I ask what happened with the embassy listed on your application? Only asking because I also have an issue with the consulate on my NOA2 and have been calling a lot to try to fix it. The consulate listed on my NOA2 doesn't process K1 visas...

my fiancé used to live in Dominican republic,so they went based off of that address instead of where we had for the interview

I'm praying for us all
