Hello people, Me and my husband both live in Dubai and have applied for his green card. We received the welcome letter and I have also chosen an agent. However I don't have a bank account in the US. I would like to know if I can pay the fee by using my fathers US bank account.

This is really good information since we're from the same day. Just wondering, how did you get in contact with a Tier II? My fiancee called today and they have no idea if the package was sent to NVC since is not updated online. Should she request talking to a Tier II as soon as the pick up the phone? Thank you and please keep us updated.

When I called USCIS and Tier I wasn't helpful, I asked if I could speak with a Tier II and then I was forwarded. If you request to speak with a Tier II, I think it's a valid reason they won't deny :)

I received NOA2 on 13th February but three weeks later, still no case received at NVC. If it's not there tomorrow, I'm going to ask my fiance to speak to USCIS. It's frustrating to feel like you're finally getting somewhere, only to be arbitrarily slowed down again. I would really love to know what sort of 'process' is used considering files don't seem to be sent in any clear order. I'm curious if they're batched by country, or if it really is pot luck as to how files are boxed to be shipped.

I got my NOA 2 on 2/20 but my status still shows as Case Was Received. You guys think this has something to do with NVC saying that my case hasn't even been delivered yet?

My NOA2 was on Feb 21. I called NVC today and they told me that my case has not arrived there yet.... we are in the same boat.....

FYI- my online status says "Case Approved"

Mine still says case was received on USCIS website but my case was received at NVC on 3/1/18 and got case # the next day. So no i dont think thats the reason. (NOA2 feb 13th)

I'm fed up of hearing "it can take up to six weeks for us to receive the case from USCIS". Why does it take *six weeks* to send a form that's been sitting in a pile for six months already?!

I, myself felt frustrated, Noa2 feb 15 and it was March first. I called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2  and they told me they had not sent the file yet. The next day I called NVC and the file was there. So idk if it was just luck or what. But the next day they recieved my file.

unfortunately, I still have no case number. Will be calling later on tonight to see if finally they have my case #. 😩🤞🏻🤞🏻

I feel my excitement from NOA2 was already squashed. Got so excited (probably too excited) thinking we were getting close, but I don't feel any closer now. Actually if anything, now that I call NVC everyday and get the same 6 week speech I feel more anxious than waiting for NOA2 because I'm constantly aware that I'm in waiting mode 😩Go to work, wait to call NVC, get told nothing, go to sleep, repeat.

I guess we're lucky it's not the same wait as it was December/January, but who knows. I've been reading about those on here who have had their applications lost by USCIS or NVC and had to wait 100 days+ to get a case number.

Sorry just had to get that negativity rant out haha. Hoping this week we all get some updates!

I called NVC today and they hadn't received my case after 13 days, so I then called USCIS. I waited for a Tier II callback. Tier II told me a shipment with my application in it went out on the 27th and that it should arrive at NVC by this week.

If you are feeling your NVC number is taking long, calling USCIS to see if yours shipped helps ease the wait.

So USCIS said that your case was shipped to NVC a week ago and still it has not arrived??? My NOA2 was 1 day after yours.... my case may be in the same shipment than yours... I  hope we can have good news soon  from NVC...

yeah USCIS said it was shipped on the 27th, but NVC says not received :\ when I talked to USCIS the man told me that every 1 to 2 weeks they ship an entire truckload of applications to NVC
