Feb 2018 NOA2 ---> NVC thread

NVC received our file last Friday and we are hoping to have case number this week 😊  NOA2 Feb.15 ( based on hard copy received)

I am getting excited, all documents required by the embassy are in hands, and tomorrow at 8am I am attending my medical examination. DS -160 submitted today online. Hopeful, I will be doing my interview around mid of March.. Wishing everyone the best in these final stages, from NVC to VOH

I called NVC today and they hadn't received my case after 13 days, so I then called USCIS. I waited for a Tier II callback. Tier II told me a shipment with my application in it went out on the 27th and that it should arrive at NVC by this week.

 

If you are feeling your NVC number is taking long, calling USCIS to see if yours shipped helps ease the wait.

 

This is really good information since we're from the same day. Just wondering, how did you get in contact with a Tier II? My fiancee called today and they have no idea if the package was sent to NVC since is not updated online. Should she request talking to a Tier II as soon as the pick up the phone? Thank you and please keep us updated.

Called NVC just now, they said they received the approved petition from USCIS today, so hopefully get a case number this week.

I have viewed the timelines of several Feb NOA2 people and the day after the NVC gets the file from USCIS the case number is ready so I plan on calling tomorrow night and get that case number!

Yep.... and a few days after a case # is assigned, the case is "in transit" to the embassy...

can my fiancé do the d160 now with the number we received from NVC or does he need to wait until he receives packet from embassy? also he should schedule the interview before going to medical is that correct?

I just called the NVC and the guy told me I have to wait six weeks to get my case number which I know is not true :'(

 

I'll try again tomorrow

And they will send it to the consulate after one week of getting the case number, that's what I notice

Ds160 has no expiration, ds160 won't ask NVC Case number, it will ask you receipt number from USCIS. I submitted mine when I got the NOA 2 Approval.

Called NVC just about now, got case # assigned  YAHOOOOO

 

NOA 2 approved on April 21

questions for those Filipina here can I pay for the visa fee now and set an interview?thanks in advance.

Taiwan is same way, once you get the case number you can schedule the interview once the NVC site says "ready" . My fiancé is Filipina working/living in Taiwan last 9 years so I'm glad we don't have to go to the interview in Manila , she said they are strict at that one.
