Found out why some people get case numbers faster than others. Has everything to do with what country your fiancé is in and where the interview will be.

At the NVC stage background checks are done on the beneficiary (Petitioner during the USCIS stage) some countries are more up to date than others and submit the inquiry back to the NVC faster than others as well as NVC doing their own check. Its a lot faster to process a background check on a beneficiary say from Canada or UK than it is from someone in Vietnam, China, so on. All depends on the background check on the beneficiary and how soon they can complete it.

Looking at the K1 VISA - NOA2 to NVC Time Tracker spreadsheet I can't see that reasoning applied 🤔

I would like to see documentation regarding that theory. Stuff like that makes people freak out for no reason.

how did you guys find out if NVC received did you call or wait for the letter?

It's better to call NVC till they give you the case number or give you an update about  your case. They don't communicate to petitioners/beneficiaries or update their systems on time.

For my case, we filed on June 29th, I got my packet 3  yesterday  from the Embassy, but it still says you're  case  has been received.

According to NOA2 hard copy, we got approved on Feb 6th, and received it in mail box  on Feb 11th, then my fiance called NVC on Feb 21st, they told him that our file has been sent to the embassy on same day he called, they didn't even give him a case number, I only got a call from the embassy to go and collect my packet 3.

Is the CEAC Tracker not working?

I enter my correct info - hit ready - then no action. If I hit ready again, I get an error on their captcha code. No pop ups (disabled all ad blockers, too).

I posted about this a few pages ago.

If it doesn't pull up right away, try it a few hours later.
