Nah, you can stay! I was just told by someone that I was asking questions in the wrong thread, so I got sassy and made  my own. HRMPH.

Ha!  Heart you a lot.

Probably does make more sense to be here anyway, since my timetable will be more similar to this group than to those of the January people.

My NOA2 is February 3rd. You should fill out the I-134 for this part of the K1 process. I believe that you can use a W2 or the tax returns to prove income. I have no idea what a C/form 1040 is, sorry :(

Thank you, what amount  do they look as a benchmark  of poverty  guideline on a tax return? I mean do they look at gross income or net income? Always  net income  would  be less than gross income..

They look at your total earned before taxes.

Hello guys

How are  you  today ?   I am kindly  asking your help  here

My fiance  is a self employed  guy, now he is preparing  the affidavit of support  to send it to me, but we are confused  a little  bit..

1. His tax return documents; does it need  to be a gross or net income of his tax return?

2.does he need to file for schedule  C/form 1040 along  with  tax return  as well ?

We are using  form I-134f for affidavit  of support  instead  of  I-824f, are we on a safe side?

Thanks in advance.

It is gross income, but with self-employed he will have certain business expenses and doesn't get to count all the money he took in. Schedule C (for self-employed) is just one piece of the tax return. His tax return will have 1040, plus various other parts like Schedule B, Schedule C, Schedule SE, Schedule D....all depending on his personal situation. That is ALL tax return.

Schedule C is where he calculates his profit (or loss) from his "business"...his self-employment. Then that number gets plugged into his Form 1040 on Line 12 as his income. Basically it will be Line 22 of his 1040 that needs to be over the requirement for the I-134.

The same will apply when he does the I -864 for your adjustment of status. Ignore everything about W2s. That is a wage statement workers get from their employer at tax time. Your guy doesn't have an employer. He is self-employed.

He's almost finished the DS-160. Sigh.

Do I need to give him a signed lease from my apartment complex as proof of domicile?!

Also, stuff like that works. Pictures, family photos. I have no idea.

Each embassy is different. For London you will find what you need here in the instructions from the consulate https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/  Open the details on the things listed.

No to photos of any kind except the required four passport style for the medical and two London says bring to the interview (they really only need one to scan then hand back). Just bring what's on their list. You don't have to prove your relationship to London.

Thank you so much, be blessed. I understood  now, I was confusing  those tax terminologies that all together  make tax return  document. My fiance  uses an agent  to file his tax returns every  year  so the agent brings complete  documents of tax returns. I hope everything  will  be okay.

So we got our NOA2 on Feb 10th dated 3rd, but the USCIS website still hasn't updated us correctly. In fact, we got a notification it had been updated, but updated just to back to received again. When we call the NVC they're very rude and say because the USCIS website doesn't have our NOA2 listed they can't help us in any way or give us any info.

Any advice? We clearly got the NOA2..and would just like to see if they've got it with our number so we can go ahead and start the process.

Do you have your paper NOA2 letter? Have you tried calling USCIS to see why it was reverted?

Yes, both digital and physical.

I also want to clarify, they didn't pull back on anything. We have an update on the app saying there has been a change from the initial received status, but the new status in the alert is a received status. Both show when you see our timeline, which is strange.

We have not called USCIS.
