Feb 2018 NOA2 ---> NVC thread

Our NOA2 got approved Jan 31. I guess received by NVC on Feb 12 and we got our case number Feb 14. Status is still "AT NVC". Anyone here with the same case??? I noticed others with NOA2 approval in Feb got their NVC notice way ahead....

Hello everyone!  based on the responses I received from you a few of you I started a new thread that is listed as NOA2 - NVC Philippine Beneficiaries 

 

So we can share resources and timelines please let me know what your thoughts are and I hope we can share more specific details regarding the manila USA embassy and what the requirements are and experiences are

 we received our NOA2 on Feb 10 but. no case number yet. I’ve also started a Philippines specific USA embassy resource so that we can all share and help each other and maybe even some of the beneficiaries can contact each other and help each other out with questions or share with their experiences are let me know your thoughts and I hope you receive your update soon

Congratulations you’re so lucky! Our NOA2 date was 2/10/18 and I called today still no case number 😭 

 

Please keep us posted on your journey as my fiancé and I are studying hard to make this process as smooth as possible. Sounds like you can schedule medical, pay the Visa fee, comp,see the DS160 form and schedule for interview. please let me know how soon the dates you can choose for the interview we are really curious thanks 😃🙏

Found out why some people get case numbers faster than others. Has everything to do with what country your fiancé is in and where the interview will be.

At the NVC stage background checks are done on the beneficiary (Petitioner during the USCIS stage) some countries are more up to date than others and submit the inquiry back to the NVC faster than others as well as NVC doing their own check. Its a lot faster to process a background check on a beneficiary say from Canada or UK than it is from someone in Vietnam, China, so on. All depends on the background check on the beneficiary and how soon they can complete it.
