Hello, I was wondering the same thing. Today we got our case number but it does not seems to fit in I-134 form. We left it blank in I-129F form as well. Confused :S

You do not need the NVC case number for the I-134.

Can you explain to me what is the option 5 or 7??? I  have read several people talking about it and I don't know.

My NOA2 approval was Feb 22...

I'm sure that means you will use option 5.

From what I have gathered, the NVC is testing a new Interactive Voice Response (IVR) that some of us will get when we call the NVC

For example, when I would call, I would press 2, and then 7. Some people are being prompted to press 2, and then 5.

From what I have gathered, those who are part of the option 5 group are seeing slower results than the option 7 group.

@Van & Tiger, can you confirm that my assumptions are correct? :)

(similar repost from August filer's thread)

I'm in a frustrating situation. I called NVC on Friday, and was told that they'd received our case last Wednesday but were still inputting the data into the system. I said thank you, and I'd call again on Monday to see if a number would be assigned by then. So I called and NVC told me they can't find our case in the system. Now I don't know who to believe! I tried calling USCIS for an update instead (if they would in fact confirm shipment or not) and they won't speak to me, even though our case is approved and I just need to know if they've sent it. They'll still only speak to the petitioner.

I tried NVC again today (both on option 5 and 7) and it's the same, no evidence of the case on the system. So either something weird's happened to our case, or the call centre staff member happened to enter our WAC number just incorrectly enough to trigger someone else's similar case. :(

I'm hoping this will all resolve itself during this week but it's very annoying to be given what could be false hope in things actually moving quick for our case at NVC! I know it's still only early days yet (we had approval two weeks ago today) but it seemed like things were back to being a regular time status to get to NVC. I need to put my patient boots back on!

I was approved Feb 6 and still nothing :( but i'm guessing some people get it faster.

Call NVC every working  day, this will help I think. We got our NOA2  on Feb  6, I received  my packet 3 today from the embassy.

I just called NVC, press 2 and they transferred me directly to an operator who told me my case is not there yet. There is no option 5 or 7....

Am I  calling the wrong phone # which is the same you have in your signature.

Pd. My NOA2 was approved on Feb 21 , I  didn't expect them to have my case yet anyway.

Hello guys,

We have been calling NVC like almost every day, and they always told us they did not have our file until yesterday. So yesterday, they told us it was there Since 22, February and it was not processed. So, today we called around lunch time and finally got our case number assigned. I suggest you to try both 5 and 7 because lady asked us to call 5 to get our case number. Hope this helps and you get your case numbers very soon!

how is  the 5 and 7 done? what is that?
