Also, I am using this time to gather documents because we, like everyone else, want to get a jump on the embassy process.

So far, we've got:

  • DS-160
  • Police Certificate
  • Beneficiary Birth Certificate
  • I-134 (with supporting document from my bank)
  • Updated letters of intent to marry

We are waiting on:

  • I-134 co-sponsor document & supporting documents
  • Signed lease document (to establish domicile for myself)

...and of course, we can't schedule any medical or interview without that pesky NVC #, so technically that goes in the "waiting on" category as well

I am struggling to think of what to provide to prove ongoing relationship...I mean, we've lived together for two years so our chat logs are like, "Can you buy paper towels?" but maybe I'll pick some of our cuter selfies and print those. I also plan on going to the interview with my fiance.

Good morning may I ask the police cert is for the petioner or benificery

I have not as of yet. My impression is you cannot do that until you get a case number

when I tried on line it requests the MNL number aka Manila case number and the WAC number . Unless others can chime in if I am mistaken

He's almost finished the DS-160. Sigh.

Do I need to give him a signed lease from my apartment complex as proof of domicile?!

Also, stuff like that works. Pictures, family photos. I have no idea.

I don't think that if the petitioner is already living in the USA they have to send proof of domicile.  That is if the petitioner is living abroad at the moment.

I was thinking to start a thread for Manila filers to help support each other with Philippines specific requirements and resources. I figure we can also see or provide more specific timeline processing for that embassy. Also if beneficiaries want to communicate locally to help each other? Not sure if that’s redundant given this thread but this thread varies from countries. Just wondering if Manila filers would find that useful. Let me know thanks

Hi there can I ask if you can pay the embassy fee already even if theres no NVC letter yet? Thank you

We have completed it, but we did not submit it yet.  Even though we have the case number and the invoice number, we want to wait until we have the specific instructions from his embassy about what to do.  I am hearing that other people can just schedule their interviews.  It seems that Egypt wants the beneficiary to submit the DS-160 then send a package of required documents to their office by Aramex.  Once they receive it, they do something on the computer in three weeks that enables you to schedule an interview, but you should have your medical three weeks before the interview.  This is weird, because he was able to log in and look at interview dates yesterday.  So, in order to not screw anything up, we are waiting for specific instructions on what to do.  I did send the Affidavit of Support and its substantiating documents, the updated Intents to Marry, new photo copies of my divorces in case they lost them and a photocopy of NOA2.  I so want to move ahead and schedule the interview and know what kind of timeline we have, but I don't think Egypt is a country that you can do that in.  Where other countries might finish your medical in three days, I can see Egypt finishing it in three weeks because of the disorganization of the hospitals and everything else there.  Yes, I think you need a case number.  When you have a case number, NVC will send the petitioner an e-mail with a link to CEAC so that you can do the DS-160.

As far as I know, you have to wait for your case number before you pay for your visa fee. 😊

I agree with you @Mark_712. I really think it'll be useful since each embassy has different requirements. And as you've said it would provide us more specific timeline.
