Thank you, what amount  do they look as a benchmark  of poverty  guideline on a tax return? I mean do they look at gross income or net income? Always  net income  would  be less than gross income..

line 22 on the 1040 is what they look at.

It's taking two weeks for them to deliver the cases to the NVC, that also happened to me!

Got a couple other questions because I will need to send document to my fiancé once I returned.  Two issues I am running into:

-Employer will not write me a letter of employment verification.  What do I do in this instance?  They already said they won't do it unless requested by a third party.  Obviously immigration will not do this on my behalf.  Will my signed offer letter suffice?

-I visited my bank (Chase) to get proof for the I-134.  The document they provided me does not show the total amount deposited in the last year, and they said there is no way for them to show this other than just printing out a list of deposits/withdrawals.  What should I do in this instance?

-I was living abroad and did not start at my job until July.  As a result my 2017 income is 18k.  Will this cause problems?  I will make around 40k a year total, and this is provable.  But will my most recent tax returns showing less cause me an issue?

NVC just approved our case and we're "expedited" apparently? No idea what that means haha.

As we wait for the case to go to Montreal we've checked our status at CEAC and got the following;

"Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

Unforgettably, however, we don't see any interview date. Any ideas? Couldn't find anything using the search feature.

It's in the current range of approx. 20 days from NOA2 . A couple months ago, it was taking 45-60 days....

Congrats...I  wish you well in the interview process...

 so it's about 20 days from the time that the USCIS approves you til the NVC sends it to the embassy?
