Sorry.  Egypt is different.  They will let you know what you need.  You won’t have to guess.  😉. I’m going to be lookin closely at ours.  I read it from their website, but I’d better check again to make sure how many photos.  And there is a list of doctors for Egypt.  Won’t it be nice when all these hurdles have been cleared and we can finally have weddings?

If everybody in this thread would look at their country specific info it would be more helpful to them. Visa Journey has embassy info pages. They can be updated by any member so beware it may or may not be 100% accurate or up to date. You can see the last update date to know if it is fairly recent info.

Look in the menu bar for Office Reviews & Info

Then US Consulate Information

Find your Country by letter and click Embassy Information

Some will have lots of information; some not so well filled out.

(Hmm...I see a few things on the UK page I will fix now.)

How do you determine to either click 1-5 or 1-7 when contacting NVC? Thank you

Listen to the options given on the phone, I pressed 1-7.

Nothing bad can happen though, if you get confused just hang up and call again.

So, with my issue with the NVC... I called again to ask why, and the problem was that I had the wrong case number, I got it right, they said that it's been in the NVC for two days, but I'm seeing people here getting approved faster, how many days does it usually take for the case to be sent to the embassy?

I was asking the same question...

I just saw somebody's timeline with NOA2 Jan 31 and his/her consulate received the docs on Feb 16...  I  hope this is still the normal processing time for NVC....

I think they are, mine took 14 days for them to receive it, which isn't too bad.

Someone mentioned (not sure if it was here or on another thread) that they did the 1-7 option and was told that it was not there only to call a few minutes later and do the 1-5 and was told yes it was there. Monday cant come soon enough for me, im going to try the 1-5 first.

We are approved on 9th February, called NVC many times to see if they have received our case and they did not. It seems like 14 days but not always.

Hi guys.

I know you're anxious, but please remember that you can't pry or demand information from them that they don't have.

There are a lot of resources out there for those of you looking to contact the NVC - check my signature.

With that being said, please please try to do some research. We're here to help but there is also a search bar on the upper right hand side of the screen. Also, there are extremely useful timelines for how long it is taking NVC to process cases.

Good luck, talk to you guys tomorrow.
