I got the case number and the invoice number over the phone from a nice CSR at NVC last night.  When I said "Thanks, now I can follow our case online," he said "No, you can't check your case status online.  That is for informational purposes only."  We checked the case number last night and it said "at the NVC" and this morning it said "In Transit."  Today we got an e-mail stating it had been sent to Egypt and an attachment which was a letter addressed to my fiancé.  So, just letting you guys know what happened so you can know what to expect.  Like I said earlier, our I-129F was approved on February 6th.  I hope you all have speedy approvals!  By the way, the letter to my fiancé said that the transit to the embassy could take weeks.  I thought it only took days since it is scanned.  I will let you all know what happens next.  Good luck in all your cases!  I hope your loved ones are with you soon!

Way to go.... congrats.... soon it will be in the embassy.......

We also got our NVC case number today! I'm hoping that Frankfurt can get it processed very quickly. We're very very ready to leave this place to go to USA (I came here to be with her during this nightmare visa process).

I'll also update once we hear something.

Hi! I just got my nvc number today, but when I try to search for any information through the CEAC website this message appears "

Your search did not return any data."

Does anyone know why?

Hey guys!

This is my first time posting and I need your help!

I am at the NVC stage I got my case # and invoice number on feb 22, 2018.  I did check the case status it’s says at NVC it hasn’t been long but I wanted to know what the next steps are when I try choosing an agent it give me the screen in the pic bellow. Should I submit the ds-160 even though it’s not out to embassy yet or should I wait for something else to happen?

the case should be going to Haiti if that help answering my question.

I believe your Embassy will send you an email with directions including telling you to do the DS-160 and other stuff specific to that Embassy.  In the meantime, it won’t hurt to look at a DS-160 and a sample one and figure out what you will put.  We have a worksheet with the answers on it generated by RapidVisa from our I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé(e).  We will just go through it together while he does it to make sure those answers are accurate.

Since you are the beneficiary, you can start looking at the DS-160.  You will need two recent 2x2 passport photos on a white background.  You can gather the info on where the doctors are and get the number of the one you want to use.  Find your immunization records so you can get fewer shots.  Get your police records from every country you have lived longer than six months since age 16.  Does your passport have at least 6 months on it from the time you anticipate getting your visa?  Study some interview questions.  Most of all, RELAX.  If you have decided to go for this relationship and feel confident, you should have no problems!  Your Embassy will contact you and your fiancé will get a letter to forward to you by email from NVC with some good pointers.  You are in the home stretch...  Cheers!
