They have sent the packet 3 to her 4 times, but she has not received any of them. Our plan for now is to do everything without it. She will use the NOA2 and interview confirmation email to do medical and get police certificates. If we still can't receive the packet 3 by the time of the interview I guess she will just tell them it never came and tried many times. Hopefully it will still be ok.

That is weird.

I still did not get mine, but as said, embassy told me that they resent it to me and I have my postman checking it for me.

I feel bad for you since it will be tricky to get everything required for the interview without knowing what is required.

Do you have any informations on packet 3 from the local embassy ? Some do have it in electronic form.

Nevermind, she finally received it right now!

That's the inherent problem with this process. You depend on instructions for the interview and none comes and now your faced with what to do. If you upload a picture of the requirements here then I would use it to help others and others will also see your post. Japan is one that I don't have. Just a way of giving back to the community.  Good luck. Hope all goes a little better down the road.

Hi everyone,

I got my NOA2 on Feb 22nd and NVC got my file on March 12th, so I've been calling them since and they keep telling me there is no case# yet. Is anyone from Feb NOA2 who's still waiting for case#? I'm starting to get annoyed and confused  when I see most of you guys are almost done.

Thanks!

You'll need to schedule a infopass appoint at the nearest location to you.

Hello everyone. I just came from my interview. What they asked prior to my interview was his 2016 Income Tax Return only. So that was what we provided.

During my interview, they asked for his 2017 ITR. But I told them that he was granted an extension til October 2018.

They asked me to bring  a copy of that extension and my passport this afternoon. :( Is this going to be a problem?

Thank you. This whole process is driving me crazy. If this AP means a longer wait for us, that would be heartbreaking. I gave them what they asked right away. I went home, printed the document and went back. They asked for my passport as well. Maybe that's a good sign? I really hope so.

it should be. if they asked for your passport, it means they are intending to print the Visa on it. 💜

I hope so. Because I was not able to give them his 2017 Income Tax Return. Just the approval letter for the extension of his filing. His 2016 Taxes doesn't help either. He was working abroad for that year.
