Years ago DFA did not use online appt.     Now the "mob" has continued they practice of grabbing all the appt., even though DFA switch companies that handle this .. just to stop the fixxers ...

Switching companies is not even necessary.  Simply make it so the applicant must list his/her name for the Passport Application and *poof* corruption ends.

 

If they do that, nobody can grab up time slots to tell for each slot has a name attached.  Make it clear that if Joe Schmo made the appointment, nobody else can use it.

 

Problem solved.  

 

Btw, as an FYI, I do not know if it's common practice but my SO had to give them her official birth certificate--meaning give it up so now she had to go back and get another which, for some reason will take 2 weeks.  I told her: "buy two official ones in case anyone else grabs one.

I have no clue how the fixxers are grabbing up all the slots, but it is happening .. .again.

 

My wife renewed her passport during our last visit, the online appt system ask for all the personal information .. still the fixxers have found a way around this stuff.

 

For the BC, buy more than two ... It is good to have extras for the USA as well.
