K1 VISA INTERVIEW APPOINMENT IN THE PHILIPPINES

Hi,

My K1 visa petition just got approved 7 days ago. My fiancee will be interviewed at US Embassy in Manila. For those who already set up an appointment for the interview, WHAT’S THE EARLIEST DATE DO THEY HAVE? 

And when/If the CO ask “ WHEN DID YOU MEET AND HOW?  Is that when we meet online 3 years ago or when we meet in person 7 months when I visited Philippines.

That is a very common question at the interview, easy answer ... both.

 

As for earliest interview dates, that changes daily, you will find out when you create your profile online to schedule your interview  ..  follow the links, things can move very quickly now if you so choose.

I agree with what Hank has stated.  This is the point with which you now control how fast you reach your visa approval. Follow his links as they will walk you step by step through the process.

 

As far as how to answer the "WHEN DID YOU MEET AND HOW?" you'll explain what were the circumstance to which you met. Was it on-line in a chat room. Was it through a friend or family member or maybe through an on-line dating service like Asian Dating.

hello everyone.. i just want to ask if i can schedule an nterview appointment on different day of the week? coz some said that k1 applicant is scheduled only on thursday but on the site cgifederal.. i see different dates that i can select and not all is thursday..

If you see other days available then YES you can schedule your interview for that day.

 

We have seen the embassy offering others days (again) started about a week ago.

Thanks! Coz some said when they schedule their interview the only date showed is all thursdays for k1 visa applicants.. but since it's okay to pick any day or date available I will pick Friday march 22.. 

 

Btw.. nearest interview date schedule is March 13, 14, 22, 27 and 28

Yes that was the case for a few months.   Before that "Thursday only" period all days were available.

 

There is a rumor that the IV unit has a new "stuffed shirt" running the operation.   .. to show his power he started changing the operation.    and now they are changing back.
