AOS Interview

Those who have gone through AOS interview, any tips on what questions were asked and documents are to be presented? Thanks

I found it was significantly different than expected. Our interview asked us a few basic questions about our relationship, but the rest of the interview was "self-led" in that he asked us to prove to him why I should be allowed to stay. It was up to us to choose what evidence to show him and to talk about the legitimacy of our marriage. We came prepared with all of our previous paperwork, plus updated financial information, and copies of insurances with both of our names on it. We also brought wedding cards addressed to the both of us, as well as 4 support letters. We only showed the officer a few of the wedding cards and two of the support letters, and that was all he needed.

This is in the K-1 visa forum...  better in the AOS from K-1 forum for this type of question

For us, the meat of the interview revolved around the I485 form and the IO essentially went through the entire form verifying the information and answers to the yes/no questions.  We did get into the wedding information a little, but all-in-all, 10-15 minutes of fairly comfortable interview.

For us, the questions were all about my husband's trip in the Philippines.. How he met my family, what are my siblings' names, how many weeks does my husband stayed in PI and showing some pictures on his trip and me meeting my husband's family.. just make sure to bring all the original documents..

For some reason they tend not to do AOS interviews.

 

I have filed AOS on two different occasions, never had an interview...........

Sounds like most of those question should of been asked at the USEM

True.. Actually,  when I had my k1 visa interview in USEM Manila they just looked at my documents and asked if what is my husband's favorite food..
