Just heard back from the email address listed in the error message. Sick of these needless delays.

Oh for crying out loud! So they're picking and choosing who the rule applies to?? I've tried again and got the same answer so sent an enquiry but I guess I'll have to wait until mid March to even book the interview if I get the same response.

Thanks for letting us know, it's a big help to have an idea of what the delay is, even if it makes me fed up for all of us going through the same thing!

It's probably for the best you can't book until after the medical. By the sounds of it mine isn't going to be there in time for my interview and ill have to wait even longer anyway.

Got my medical on the 5th March, 11 days away, so it's not a long wait.

I just don't understand the inconsistency of it all. Some people can book their interview and medical the second they get an LND number others have to wait an additional 50 days, not sure they could justify that as anything but madness.

That's what gets me, I mean, I get it. According to the instructions, we do have to wait until after the medical, but so many others have been able to book before so it's just more stress and waiting. Plus knowing them, I wonder how many days after the medical we'll be able to book. Either way, as long as it gets done and sorted so we can be with our loved ones, then I'm happy!

I assume we’ll have to wait until the medical reaches the embassy so 5 days afterwards, it seems completely unreasonable that this is the case that some people can book it and some can’t. Especially since once you fill out the notification of readiness it says you can book the interview. And nothing about having been to the medical first just having booked it.

Guys I dont know if your still having trouble but i managed to get it sorted, i sent the letter but i also sent them a screenshot of the page after you submit the notification of readiness and they added my case onto their system manually and was able to book.

7th March! That’s awesome, I’ll email them back tonight :).

You’re right there’s a contradiction between what the embassy website and what the notification of readiness says! I’m gonna play on that too.
