how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

ok either the migrane set in or :GASP: she got a life

A little from column A, a little from column B. I mixed up a batch of homemade bbq sauce and put the pork chops in the oven, and then I had a feline-induced disaster to clear up! Silver's started stealing kitten kibble so I put the bowl up on the cat tree she can't climb up... alas it didn't last long - Tessie was eating and Silver decided she was determined to join her, while Tessie was determined not to share. Thirty seconds later the kibble hit the floor and bounced EVERYWHERE!

What is unusual (among states) of MT's approach of dealing with moving violations?

No idea. If it was Texas I'd ask if they shoot you... but Montana I don't know. Do they write the offense up on the back of the closest cow and make you herd it to the police station when you pay the fine?

If a man could carry as much as an ant, how much could a 176 pound man carry?

The reason ants can carry so much weight is because their mass is so small that they have a massively high proportion of muscle in relation to their size. If a human being was built like an ant they'd give new meaning to the words 'muscle-bound'! Here's an interesting site on ant strength and scale... http://www.madsci.org/posts/archives/may99...63695.Gb.r.html

Another more simplistic site said that if humans were as relatively strong as ants, the strong guy could carry a bulldozer on his back.

btw, estimates of ant strength vary from site to site from '10 times their weight' to '100 times their weight'. I guess that's because it's a bit hard to get an ant-sized scale! So depending on which measurement you prefer, your 176 pound guy could carry anywhere between 1760 pounds and 17600 pounds! That's one hell of a difference...

See my answer on ants...

I am getting a HIDEOUSLY scary mental picture from this one :(

And it's a trick question anyway - if the beaver COULDN'T bury wood then the answer is obvious! Beavers build, not bury...

They hand you the ticket and collect the fine on the spot--no court appearance.

(real nice if you happen to be in a packed 15-passenger van, and can divvy-up the fine)

how many licks to the middle of a tottsie roll pop?

This is a question that has consumed mankind since the invention of a tootsie pop roll... several studies have been done both by machine 'lickers' and by human beings. The human experiments invariably take several hundred less licks than the machine ones, probably because a machine makes a standard-sized lick and humans wander. Not to mention those who can't resist chewing into it at some stage... But the actual answer?

Purdue University Engineering Students licking machine took 364 licks. When they tried a human experiment it only took 252.

University of Michigan licking machine took 411 licks.

And a student group from Swathmore school were very enthusiastic lickers and only took 144 licks.

So I guess it all depends on your level of enthusiasm and the size of your tongue...

http://www.tootsie.com/memoriesLicksMachine.html

PS. I've never had a tootsie pop roll... what do they actually taste like and is the experiment worth performing IRL?
