I-129F - send evidence of ongoing relationship or not?

I am thinking about this stuff way too much but i'm just excited! I finally pushed through my 325A and almost done with the I-129F and all of it's 'attachments'.

I'm running into something funny though. some people on here mentioned that they sent proof of on-going relationship with the initial petition. Chat logs, emails, phone bills..

but the instructions for creating the package dont mention it, other than the cover letter.

did you all send such evidence along or wait to send it for the interview?

hoping to send in about two weeks when i get his part in the mail and all the stuff assembled.. yay!

Proof of ongoing relationship is more important for the interview. It can be critical but tends to be more so when the fiance is coming from a country with a higher incidence of fraud. I would caution you to consider that USCIS must evaluate every piece of paper you send them. Anything not needed can prolong the process. If you see a reason to send something, go ahead. If not, I would save it for later.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Good luck with whatever you send .. I sent much more than I needed to, but it made me feel more confident that I would not receive an RFE (and I didn't but that probably wasn't the reason why)

Good luck! And don't worry, since you're a vermont filer, your waiting game is going to be more like checkers than chess. More like tic-tac-toe than monopoly? Insert your short game v. long game analogy here.

We sent what they asked for and that was evidence of meeting. Its a good idea only to send what they asked for. We just got our Visa. Sometimes more isn't better its just more. Save the evidence of a relationship for the interview.

I sent three month's of phone bills. No e-mails or chat logs. They didn't ask for anything like that at the interview. Check with others going through your consulate; advice varies based on the country and the risk of fraud.

We sent a bit of proof for ongoing relationship - a few e-mails, letters, a phone bill.

Like the others said, we took TONS of proof with us to the interview - I think the fact that I went there was quite the proof. The CO did ask for pictures and since I had a scrapbook with me - I opened it up and turned the pages so he could see them through the glass.

He really wants to visit where my husband is from so I think he was being a bit nosy

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved
