Removal of Condition

Hi everyone , my question is it will be two years since i got married and will be filing to remove my condition on my green card  , i want to know how long it will take to get conditions  removed and how long it will take to get the 10 years green card cause i will be filing for the removal in August , would it take more than 3 months since it will be over 2 years since being married ?

Haha! Yes, definitely it will take longer.

 

Currently it takes anywhere from 12 to 14 months to remove conditions. You'll get extension letter proving your legal status in the meantime.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

No...That means they are JUST NOW processing I-751s which were submitted in late 2016 and early 2017.  Any I-751s submitted today would not likely be processed for more than a year from now.

It takes 12 to 14 months (or longer) from the moment you file. So if you file in August 2018 you will have your process done around September or October 2019.

 

i filed in July and still waiting.

How long did it take to get the extension letter and how long does the biometrics take in case i need one again cause  i already got a biometric for the 2 years conditional 

The reason is that i will be traveling back home in Dec and will be staying from a month or 2 so if u can take me through what i should be expecting since u already there

It takes month or two for extension letter I guess. Yes you will have biometrics but I have no idea how long you have to wait for those.

I filled in March 2017. Still waiting so far, some March 2017 VSC are getting approved.  I got my extension letter in less than 2 weeks.

That is crazy, because if you've been married for 3 years you can file for Neutralization, so almost as soon as you get your physical 10 year card you can apply for citizenship.
