As I understand things the various embassies should NOT be using the 221(g) regularly to contradict USCIS decisions but it's well known that in some countries it's done as a matter of procedure ... even though it technically shouldn't be.

Consulates don't contradict USCIS decisions.  The decision to grant a visa is made by the consulate.

Good point by missileman. USCIS only approves the petition which gives you permission to apply for a visa. An approved petition does not guarantee a visa.

Having read the OP's blog, I can't see any extraordinary ability. Film isn't even his main job. Looks more like a hobby to me. I see that his short film won an award but it wasn't an Oscar or a BAFTA award.

Immigration is a privilege, not a right. At this stage the officer has decided not to bestow that privilege upon him. There's not much that can be done.

I would highly suggest that you have not seen it all and not to comment on incomplete information that you've "found" from a quick google.

Your IMDB page is hardly brimming with accolades.

I don't need to watch it. It's not me that's deciding whether you should receive a visa.  It's the London embassy you need to convince. You obviously failed to do that.

And if you think an imdb page is the end of be all of a career, you've obviously never seen how inaccurate it can be.

And I'm done. Thanks for derailing the thread past it's original intent into a cyber stalk and attack on me. You know nothing of me. I now know why people don't complete their timelines here now.

Goodbye.

For those wondering.

Actually I know someone in the ENtertainment industry who made it here on an O1, can be done but obviously need a good case/lawyer to put it together.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thank you for posting your timeline despite everything. Hope you'll win your case back.

I am also an EB-1 applicant stuck in AP ever since the end of last December. There has been a couple of updates but not sure if because of my emails.

Hi,

Nope. Nothing so far and they still haven't replied to any of my emails.

Thank you for letting me know. Bless..Hang in there. It took them more than two weeks to reply to my email, and it's the kind of AP reply template you can find online.
