10/17/17 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview

11/30/2017 - EAD/AP Approved
12/01/2017 - Card in Production
12/05/2017 - Received Approval Notice in the Mail
12/06//2017 - Card Mailed (Priority Mail) to Me
12/07/2017 - Card Received 

1/19/18  --- Interview Date 2/21

2/21/18  ---  Approved on the Spot

  • 1 hour after the interview received uscis mobile app alert
  • Status changed from "Interview is scheduled" to "New Card Is Being Produced

2/26/18  --- Received hard copy of NOA for the Green Card

2/26/18  --- USCIS Mobile Status changed to "Card was mailed to me"

2/28/18 --- Permanent Resident/Green Card received :jest:

" Have you tried the search tool? K1 isnt an easy process and a LOT of reading is required to avoid problems (RFEs) etc, if you dont like reading, be prepared to spend WAY more time and couple more $$$ with an lawyer "

I am so frustrated!!! We got a lawyer followed all the rules! and are still apart! It is horrible to be away from the one you love for this long its ridiculous. Furthermore noone can seem to help or give us an answer!!!!  We had k1 visa interview november 8th 2017 got the white slip over what they said was small little issue "To send in my original divorce decree" So we rushed it in as we already planned our wedding :( and then they said we want more proof of our relationship! Mind you we have a ten year friendship history logs for years etc.... so we send all they want as a matter of fact all we have.,,, finally we changed from administrative processing to case received on february 12th 2018 said check back in 2 days we were elated!!!! thought finally thought was approved. However in 2 days was back was back to administrative processing. So we read all these stories and seemed this happens before your approved??? Well its 2/16/2018 Friday Now there closed the thought of waiting longer is killing us and we have no clue what is going on and noone answers emails or the phone no answers. Can anyone out there that for sure knows tell me what is going on :(

No one can provide those answers. All you can do is sit back and wait. It is advised that no one many any plans for a wedding, before you have the visa is in hand. Every year, people who don't follow that lose lots of money. Hiring a lawyer also in no way makes your case more likely to get approved without road bumps. 

When did you apply?

If your case is outside of processing times, you can submit an e-request. Alternatively, you could engage with your senator or congress person.

it helps VJ members if you post a timeline just to see if you are outside the norms for immigration

some members go thru years of this process usually not Canada

if you only sent a copy or scan of the original Divorce degree,  they need to check the court records in your state to verify it

if all is ok, you should be together soon

sorry but Senator will not be much help,  they can only get the same answers you get when calling / and if you do sign the release papers to ask for help, it puts the bene name on the internet as posted for help from Department of State homeland security (some are not aware of ths)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
