Timeline

Hi! Im sure this question has been asked many timea but ive just sent out me and my Fiancé (he is from England) petetion for the K1 Fiancé visa about 4 days ago. Does anyone know how long it will take? I hear it can be a weeks to months???

"Weeks" haha!

 

More like 6 to 10 months on average. 

K1

29.11.2013 - NoA1

06.02.2014 - NoA2

01.04.2014 - Interview. 

AoS

03.2015 - AoS started.

09.2015 - Green Card received.  

RoC

24.07.2017 - NoA1.

01.08.2018 - RoC approved.

Be prepared for a long wait. They're currently processing applications from July 2017.

 

But please - don't make any plans, set dates, or buy tickets until you have a visa in hand.

Actually, it is currently trending around 7 - 12 months. But YMMV.

But seriously. Think months. As in about 6 or 7. 

There's monthly threads for the people that petition a K1. You can sign up there and chat with people who are in the same boat. Or you can hop over t the June/July/August filers month to see the currently processed NOA-2's.Yes, they are currently processing applications from June/July/August. 

 

Sit back and enjoy the wait.
