This guy/gal would try so hard to avoid a signature of the president on his/her diploma yet has no problem living in Trump’s America.

Anybody outraged by someone doing the same to avoid the signature of the 44th would be a one who has no appreciation and respect for the beauty of the First Amendment.

When Daca came in seriously lengthened processing times so obviously yes if anything else happens.

Go back to my first post. I said nothing about wanting the signature of the 44th. I knew my degree would be signed by the 45th, and if I wanted the 44th, specifically, I would have planned my undergraduate career 'better' to graduate before the 44th left office. My plans changed AFTER the elections, and I either had to suspend my education, or graduate in December.

Actually, this is not Trump's America (Or Obama's or Washington's or Lincoln's). That is why we do not pledge allegiance to the president but to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands.

You never explained why you didn't want Trump's signature on your degree.......

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I don't think DACA will affect those who have already applied for I-130, or I-129 or N-400.

 

It's gonna take couple years for DACA recipients to be able to petition someone (to get green card).

 

I would say in the 3-5 years there is nothing to worry about.

I'm thinking the same thing.  Of course, at this point of time DACA recipients may never be able to petition someone as there is no approved legislation.

When the 'grab by the p....' stuff broke, I was sitting with my 3 children -- a daughter, and two sons. We all stared at the TV in disbelief. My daughter reminded us of the 'she had blood coming from her wherever...' and also about the mocking of the disabled reporter. My 8-year-old son asked why the man wants to be president but has a dirty mind; and my 2-year-old just stared at everybody else's ashen faces.

 

I wasn't going to bring home a degree to my children signed by such a person. And, oh, yes, I am now in graduate school in the same institution, projected to graduate before the 45th completes his first term. Already know will request that my degree is left unsigned at the Patron's spot.
