Hi all,

I'm a little confused on the process of actually scheduling an interview. My CEAC status is showing as 'Ready', I have my medical booked and all my supporting documents ready.

So the embassy website makes no reference to a Notification of Readiness on it's guide to applying for the K1 https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

However, the complete guide to the K1 in the UK subsection does - https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/iv-notification-of-app-readiness/

Do I need to complete this notification before i can schedule an interview? Will that then allow me to book and interview?

The guide in UK forum is way, way outdated. The links have changed, the embassy moved, you book your own interview now.  I too have noticed there is no reference to readiness form on the current embassy instructions Step 1 - Step 4 here https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

There is still an old page left on their website about it,  but they tend to do that when they update....leave old pieces in there. That readiness was something left over from when everything was on paper and you mailed back a paper "checklist" where you actually ticked off each interview document you had and signed it, along with mailing four paper application forms. I think they created their online version used more recently because they couldn't let go of the old way.

I would say book your interview without it and see how it goes.

I have my letter from the consulate and have submitted my notification of readiness but when i go to book an interview it's telling me that my LND number is not ready to schedule an interview.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it just a timing thing? My letter from the consulate was dated 15th Feb.
