Hi all - I had my medical last week tuesday (6th February) and the embassy still has not received it, I rang today and after about 8 hours of back and forth I finally got a phone call saying that the batch of medical results that they was processing at that point was shredded in their industrial scanner, so I am forced to go back in and sign some more paperwork.. Because this process isnt long enough already!

How on earth???? That's terrible! I am going to call them and make sure mine is ok. I had mine on the 9th... Did they give any more explanation?

She said that it hasn't happened once in the 12 years she's been working there so it's only fitting it happens when mine is being processed. She said the blood tests and xrays are fine just need to sign off on the papers and that travel will be reimbursed, but thats all the information she gave

Personally I would let the embassy know what happened as Knightsbridge  have been more useless lately. Twitter for extra exposure if they don’t respond to other means

That is a huge OOPS 😬 for them.

So sorry you got caught in it. Ask them when you go if there will be no actual DS-3054 full medical report in your immigration file. That means you will have to have another medical exam in the US for adjustment of status and are they going to reimburse you $300 for that as well. Your Knightsbridge exam would count for AOS requirement, but only if USCIS finds the full report in your file. Seriously with that down so you remember what to ask.

It's also curious that they can't courier the papers to you to sign.

Edit: oh, I thought the embassy shredded. Never mind.

I had mine that same day, I'm paranoid now!

My medical hadn't reached the embassy by my interview either, but when I called she just said it was in the final stages of being processed and would be sent over in a couple of days.

This is a nightmare! I've checked the online tracker and it's changed a couple of times from AP to Application Received etc. Surely they will call everyone who has been caught in this mess though, right?

Sorry it happened to you!

I wonder if anyone else has been contacted about this. I haven't heard anything from them and can't believe they wouldn't contact me if my medical was in that batch  @Cyxs did they say anything when you were there?
