Yes it had nothing to do with immigration they just changed. Lots of people are fluid now. It happens.

I would say it's a fad but more common for women then men lol 

I've heard of people changing sexes, not sexual orientation, as that is something people are born.  Maybe they are unashamed these days as more (women, since more socially acceptable) are vocal in their orientation.

I can only speak for myself but I find it is something that I only consider when using Public Bathrooms, left or right, how am I feeling today.
