Hi,  (I have not yet been for my interview in London it is in March)

So I was arrested at the age of 16 however released without charge having no involvement in the case.

on my DS-60 I have disclosed this as it states you have to disclose any arrests and I have just seen this on the I-485

You must submit certified police and court records for any criminal charges, arrests, or convictions you may have.

  1. If you were EVER arrested or detained by a law enforcement officer for any reason anywhere in the world, including the United States, and no criminal charges were filed, you must submit:

    1. (1)  An original or certified copy of the complete arrest report; and

    2. (2)  Either an official statement by the arresting or detaining agency or prosecutor’s office OR an applicable court

      order that indicates the final disposition of your arrest or detention;

You must disclose all arrests and charges, even if the arrest occurred when you were a minor.

My question is where can I get this info from. It doesn't state anything on my Police record. Im worried they will ask for documentation at the interview and then also as stated above I need it for when filing for my AOS.  My mum said she received no documents when she picked me up from the Police station.

Any help would be appreciated.

yes no trace

Then there is no record, even if you ordered a subject access report from ACRO. Those show anything stepped down or hidden...the charge and how it was resolved. There is also a Memorandum of Conviction document. You might have to ask about that at your local police station.

You've been a life saver today for me with all my questions.

Ive never had anything on my record as Ive had background checks done being prior Military so I would have known so this question is so confusing as I was arrested but still have no idea how to produce the required documents. It states below

If you are not able to obtain certified copies of any court disposition relating to Items 11.A. - 11.D., please submit:

  1. An explanation of why the documents are not available, including (if possible) a certificate from the custodian of

    the documents explaining why the documents are not available;

  2. Any secondary evidence that shows the disposition of the case; or

C. If secondary evidence is also not available, one or more written statements, signed under penalty of perjury under 28 U.S.C. section 1746, by someone who has personal knowledge of the disposition.

I supose I'm going to have to take a trip to a police station when Im home.

Do you think maybe a written statement from a police officer stating there is no record would suffice? as I have no idea who dealt with me or the police station I was taken to as it was so long ago. and another statement from me stating that I had no involvement with the crime so was released without charge.

Does your police certificate say "no trace" or "no live trace"?

Hi Wuozoo, I have “no live trace” on my police report, does that mean I need to get further info?

You need to get an access subject report (I think that's what it's called)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey
