Hi Everybody.. My CR1 case is currently at the NVC.. my supporting Documents have been sent and should be arriving today.. all these should be in order, and say the NVC gets through my file in the allotted 30 days... how long is the normal wait time to get an interview date in Johannesburg?

Thanks so much

I am not aware of any updates it is so unfortunate that there is not much communication about South Africa on these Forums....How long has your case been at the NVC?

Why don't you go to Philippine subforum and ask your question if you don't believe me about the PCC. Because you are just wasting your time when you don't need it.

Ps. Just bc I am a Amerikano don't mean I can read/speak Tagalog and Bisaya. @Hank_

No, I was talking about the embassy interview my asawa just used her passport as her ID. Luckily her old boss in Qatar was able to her a Police Certificate because it would have took forever if she would have had to go to Kuwaiti embassy in Manila to get it back.

Unlike Kuwait where you don't need one for the interview they do want one from Qatar because you can get it unlike Kuwait.

English is only required in the general forums. Once you are in the sub forum for your country you can use your native language but for a wider audience and different perspectives it's recommend you continue to use English.

Police Records for UAE

Available, only if applicant is physically present in the UAE.

Police certificates may be obtained by any person, regardless of nationality, by personally appearing at the Central Police Headquarters located in the emirate of residence or former residence. When appearing to request a police certificate, the applicant should provide recent photographs, a letter from the requesting authority, the date of residence in the emirate, and their passport.
Not available by mail. Post recommends that consular officers waive the general requirement to obtain police certificates unless the applicant lives in the UAE.

From <http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/AE.html>

If this is your case just print off a copy of this directive and bring it to the interview. We have heard of some CO's who are not familiar with will question you. With a copy of the explanation from the Travel State Department they will dismiss this requirement. Information is powerful and now you are informed.

A police clearance from KUWAIT is NOT required for the visa process at USEM!!   As it requires a personal appearance, thus waived by the embassy

It probably should be, but I think it is time to let this go as you can lead a horse to water, but if they are stubborn because they heard something on the street, then what's the point anymore
