Hello,

im hoping maybe someone from Morocco can help. My fiancée is Tunisian and has her visa and was supposed to fly tomorrow (Friday) from Tunis>casablanca>JFK, but today they called and said the flight was canceled and scheduled her for the same flights for Saturday. I asked them if this happens a lot they said yes. So my question is does anyone have an idea what to do? Do flights from Casablanca to JFK actually happen or are they always canceled? I don't want to get in a situation where they cancel and reschedule over and over again. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Useful,

I don't think anything strange is happening.  Sometimes flights are cancelled for various reasons.  Just as long as your fiance has their visa in hand and a print out of the most current flight information they should be good to go.

Thanks for your reply!

what I'm afraid of is that they'll keep canceling and rescheduling, that's why I wanted to know if flights from casablanca to JFK actually happen or not.

No worries if you find that flight carrier unreliable.. see if you can get a refund and purchase a different flight.  Avoid code sharing flights that are across multiple flight carriers.  Kayak.com I think lets you select "no code shares," or something to that affect.  Royal Maroc is ok.. but often loses luggage FYI.  If there is an alternate route not requiring a transit visa - ex Munich, Germany airport route.. check that out as your back up plan.

There are routes through Paris and Frankfurt. She called the french embassy in Tunisia and a Tunisian answered and said she needs a transit visa, but I called the french embassy in DC and they said no she doesn't, so I don't know who to believe....otherwise I would purchase a ticket through Frankfurt or Paris and be done with it

I according to what I know because your fiance is holding a valid US visa she should not require a transit visa through the major German international airports.  Paris and Great Britain would still require a transit visa unless anything has changed.
