Conditional Status - Waiting Over A Year

Hi guys!
 

Sorry if this has been asked already.

 

My husband and I filed to remove his conditional status last year at this time. The letter we have stating his green card is valid for an additional year is dated 2/27. Last time we crossed the border, the guard indicated that the year expires at the date of the letter. Can anyone confirm whether it's the date of the letter or a year from the date on his green card?

 

Last time I called USCIS they stated they were working on applications from August 2016 so it looks like it will still be a while before they get to ours and I don't know what to do once that year is up.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

its from the letter...it should say it on there.. But you guys should schedule a Info Pass and they will stamp his passport for a additional year as long as you take the letter and proof case is still pending .

You call your local USCIS office and make a INFOPASS appointment to get a stamp in his passport to allow him to stay another year. This is actually fairly common so don't freak out.

My wife and I crossed back from Mexico with her extension letter issued, 11/16/2016, in December, and her green card (exp. 2/13/2017) the agent said it was from the date of the green card, otherwise she would not be allowed to enter.
