Tourists visa

Thank you so much for the replies you all gave me, it made me had a good rest knowing that there are great people out that who understand me(us) but I have a suggestion, what about if I try to get a tourist visa, will that mess up any of my work? Will I be given or denied?? Has someone on here ever went through this? If yes, how did you find it, easy or hard?

You need to show strong ties to your country in order to get an approval for your tourist visa. It will be harder but it is not impossible because now you already have the intention to migrate.

Denial of a tourist visa has no affect on the K-1 process, as long as you are honest and don't lie, that can cause issues.

 

A lot of us here have dealt with tourist visa denials. We were denied because of his 2 year home rule(was 1 month shy of the requirement), and it caused no issues what so ever when it came time for the K-1 interview.

 

Ghana is tough as I have seen, but if you are honest and show strong ties, never know, it's worth a shot.

Wow, and what could you suggest? Just sit down and wait while my wife goes under too much stress over there, while I manage our non profitable organization

I myself haven't. I worked rotational work for over a year in Angola though.

 

But just the "stories" here over last couple years shows how tough it can be to go through that embassy. And for good reason a lot of times.

This process is stressful to anyone who goes through it. Just like I said before. It will be harder but not impossible. You can give it a try. I didn't stop you from trying. However, you really need to provide a very strong tie your country because now, in their record, you have an intention to migrate there.

Obtaining a tourist visa with a pending I-130 is possible, but extremely difficult.

Using an existing tourist visa with a pending I-130 is possible and usually not an issue (just carry strong ties to return home with you, of course).
