Hi All!

So we filed for AOS in October 2016 San Antonio and sent for fingerprints in Novermber 2016.  Then we waited and waited and waited and eventually moved to Boston in September 2017 with still no word on case status. We filed change of address, got the confirmation for change of address....then waited again. We eventually made an inquiry into our case status in October 2017 and received a response stating that we missed our interview in San Antonio on October 5. Of course we had the change of address but never received in the interview notice. So we received another letter at end of October saying that our case is being transferred to Boston. So we....you guessed it....WAITED. Now, all of sudden, this week, we received our Interview Notice but there’s a bunch of things that don’t make sense about it:

-It has our old Texas address

-It reached us in Boston via mail forwarding (USCIS doesn’t allow mail forwarding which is why we missed our last letter/appointment)

-The appointment is scheduled in 2 weeks for SAN ANTONIO not Boston

-The appointment Notice is printed on neon green paper!

-The letter says see back of page for important information and the back is blank

We are SO CONFUSED! We’re fine going to San Antonio for the interview we want to get this over with after waiting so long! But we obviously fear showing up just to be told “Sorry, your case can’t be handled here because you don’t live here, and it’s in transit to Boston”

Anyone have any idea or experience with this? My husband is callling USCIS as we speak and I’m trying to set up infopass in Boston.

Also, like the standard interview letters it says to bring sealed medical but as K-1 it was done in Italy before we came but that was all the way back in August 2016. Should we do it again just in case?

Please help!!!
