Yes, you use it because the only person who needs a semiautomatic is a soldier on the battlefield. In the possession of anyone else is just overkill.

Two or more?? Are you expecting to be attacked by ninjas or something?

The Houston guy who was just attacked the other day faced three thugs. A muzzleloader wouldn’t have done much for him...

The first Wal-Mart was 1962.  You weren’t even born yet.

"WE" didn't have a walmart till i was twelve. as in, there wasn't one here..where i live. didn't say anything about the first walmart ever.  and honestly i don't care if he did buy a gun from a walmart when he was twelve, i just didn't think they were all over the place in the 60s (they weren't). why do you devote so much of your time trying to twist what i say?

Don't act like you don't know what normal, non-gun nut people mean when they say "assault weapon". An AR-15 is, in the mindset of nearly everyone, an assault weapon. Don't try to come at me with the "well actually" argument and then try and quote statistics about automatic weapons. People are being assaulted and murdered by guns. That makes them weapons of assault, no matter how you want to split semantic hairs. You don't have to have an AR-15 to defend yourself, unless you're being stalked by Ninjas and if that's the case you've got bigger problems than your gun rights.

Awesome, we can agree finally!! So a hammer, a knife, an AR-15 (AR does NOT mean assault rifle, BTW), a screwdriver, a pistol, a pitchfork... all of these are assault weapons, correct?

Walmart didn't start selling guns as far as I know until mid-late 90s. Woolworths apparently sold in the 80s, but it was very rare and only in certain locations (I was so curious about this I checked!) Seriously NB did you really get one from Woolies? That's just so crazy weird!

Makes me wonder if you understand anything about firearms.  Do you really know what a semi automatic firearm is?

No, he doesn't understand anything nor does he want to learn either. I have tried and tried to teach him but he doesn't want to learn at all. So that made me mad and I got suspended for 2 days.

Was just trying to determine what percent of new firearms sales are semi automatic.  Seems handguns are the best sellers, and at least 70% are semi automatic.  Sale of revolvers (not considered semi auto) have fallen off.  About 40% ? of rifle sales are semi auto.

Revolvers have their place and a lot of people like them. I know my Mom has her CCP here in NC and she has little .22LR revolver that she likes to carry in her purse. Of course it got handed down to her from my grandfather and it will be given to me one day. The sale of firearms and ammo the last couple years have slacked off some that much is true that's why you can find some for decent amount of price now.
