Thankfully we're a nation of laws and not inhumanity middle ages stuff. It might sound great to you to broadcast such 'bloodsport', but I actually don't believe it would stop a thing. For many of them their end-goal is to die in a blaze of 'martyr' glory - this would literally give them exactly that.

I disagree. If all the other little psychopaths, saw him screaming in agony and soiling himself instead of the subject of more fame than Elvis, they would take pause.

What seems sane to an insane person is not the same thing to the rest of the world. An insane person with murder on the mind isn't going to stop their goal just because you feel better in torturing the person who murdered a lot of kids. Heck, they'd probably find that end result hilarious fun.

So, do you agree that "gun free zone" signs are, at best, useless against insane killers?

The goal is to stop the weapon from easily getting into the killer's hands in the first place - a sign one way or another way prevents nothing.

An additional goal should be to stop that killer if he gets his hands on a gun and enters a school with the intention to kill our children......Without such a plan, our children and their teachers are at the mercy of these crazies.

I agree with you 100%.  Using this same logic, why would passing more laws make the insane suddenly stop trying to buy guns to kill with?

Wait a minute!!!  You are using sound logic to dismantle  gun control thinking.......:o

They might not stop trying to. They may not even stop trying to obtain them from their stupid-oblivious parents or stealing them even. They may even attempt to use a different weapon. But I think they'd be a lot less successful in their goal. If there were additional regulations/provisions thoroughly examining their mental health beforehand as has been suggested already, I think it would be a good thing and I still do not believe youths belong purchasing a gun either. It would have to be studied and implemented carefully.

Here are two new examples of potentials that were thankfully caught. One was a girl.

I disagree with a psychological exam in order to purchase a gun for several reasons, not the least of which is false positives.

But let's look at this option for a moment.  When & where will the exam be conducted? How far in advance of the intended purchase?  Will the exam be covered by insurance?  How much will it cost the buyer?  Will this exam be accessed as a database at the federal level?  For how long will said exam be valid?  If a person fails to qualify to own a gun, what other restrictions should be imposed?  (Travel,  purchasing a car, renting a vehicle, buying medical marijuana?)

Let's say a person is tested and found not worthy.   But said person knows nothing is wrong with them.  It's a false positive, or a simple misdiagnosis.  What now?  How do they go about clearing their good name?

This is in part why it should be limited in scope. If you were say like Cruz who purchases on their 18th birthday and the exam makes him ineligible, it places a temporary hold on his NICS record. It could be for three years or five. The easiest way to run the exam is the local ATF field office. Cost would be part of an under 25 licensing system.
