In the rest of the first world, we have:

1. People who are mentally ill and

2. Criminals who'll always find a way to try and get a gun.

 

So why is Americans gun violence statistics way off the chart compared to the rest of the first world? Could it perhaps be easier access to guns? Hmmm.....common sense. Clearly having a gun doesn't make you safer.

It would be interesting to see something similar from those of us on the left.

 

Would seem logical that there are more of us fighting for the rights of the individual.

Yes having easier access to guns certainly is making the US safer.

Why are you talking in circles? You will never be able to confiscate guns.  You will never prevent mental illness.  You will never legislate the problem of school shootings. You can, however, put in place an immediate safety net which is much more practical and efficient.....arming teachers is the only practical solution .

Arming teachers is the worst thing that can happen. When will it end? How far shall we militarize our schools, concerts, churches, cinemas etc? It is complete lunacy.
