NVC and Scheduling Appointments

So our case says it's "at NVC" since Friday (Feb 9, 2018). I already booked an interview appointment on March 12 and registered for the medical which I was planning to knock off by Monday next week.

Now my only worry is that the thing won't change to "in Transit" or "Ready" by next week. How early in the process or NVC Status can I do the medical?

As far as I know all that NVC does is input the details in their system and it should be good to go. So I'm really confused and anxious that I probably booked everything way too early.

Now if we get stuck at the NVC phase and there will be no movement at least a week before my interview date, can I re-schedule?

Yes, the "system" is set up to prevent you from doing just this very thing. I dont know how you did it but by following "normal" procedures one cant proceed to the medical until you have scheduled for interview and you cant schedule an interview without a confirmation letter/e mail from NVC then the manila embassy sends YOU an e mail saying you are free to schedule a interview.

Yes you can re book your interview date.

Have patience my friend. :)

There is a web site you can go to and sign up on, we did, to track NVC timing. it seems right now they are around 38 days
