Help! No NOA2 Physical Copy

I filed IR-1 for my husband from overseas.  The case was approved by Nebraska on January 16, 2018 and was sent to DoS on January 24th.  I called the NVC and the case has been received on January 31st. We r waiting for the case number and invoice number now.

 

The problem is that, up to now (a month) later, I have yet to receive the approval notice in the mail or in email. I have screen caps of the approval and the sent to DoS. We live overseas but we received our NoA1 with no problem and have not moved since then.

 

I called USCIS. They said if I want a duplicate notice (since they ‘mailed’ already), there is a $495 fee associated with it. Do I need the NOA2 copy any time in the future?

 

It is a hefty fee for something that is not my fault.

Nope, no where in the process you would need NOA2.
