Hello everybody. My name is Andrei, I am 21 years old, I am a student and I live in Romania, Bucharest
I met an online girl, I decided to see and apply for the B2 visa, she made an invitation, an account statement, paid taxes, a job certificate.
I paid the b2 visa fee and I went very confidently to the interview.
I had the following documents: passport valid 1an (temporary), family certificate as being clinically healthy, list of all vaccines performed (those after the site), 3 cars in my name, university certificate. all documents have translated them in English. At the end of the interview I was declared rejected. I do not know why ... I can not figure it out, I had enough information to prove that I do not intend to emigrate illegally and that I will return to Romania

After I thought we would apply for the k1 or k3 visa. I've read something on the internet.
But I do not know how long the process for k1 or k3 lasts. If I could be accepted for the interview.
Since I was denied the b2 visa interview. Do you think it matters? We have written in the invitation that we are friends of the family and that she (love
We have no pictures, we have never met. Eventually I thought of meeting you both in a country where I do not need a visa.

I'm sorry your B2 visa was denied, I don't know why, I don't know much about B2 visa's.

The k1 visa currently takes 8 to 10 months, so it's a very long wait. And you can not file for a K1 visa if you have not met. You need to have met at least once in the past two years.

The best option would be a CR1 visa, where she visits you, you marry, and apply for the spousal visa.

One problem: you lied on your B2 visa application saying she is just a friend and not a romantic interest. This could cause complications.

 

Personal question. Do you think its wise to file either K1 or CR1 when you have never met? I personally think it would be wise for her to come over to Romania and you two meet first, see if the spark is there in person.

You can’t file for a k1 without having met in person, so she will have to come visit you.

unfortunately some countries have a high fraud rate and more people get denied. Especially people who met online. I’m sorry and hope you find a way!

K1 process takes anywhere from 6 to 10 months. You HAVE to meet in person before you file. It's the most important requirement. Tell her to visit you or meet in some other country where you don't need a visa.

 

CR1 (not K3) is a spouse visa and you obviously need to get married first. Takes anywhere from 12 to 14 months.

 

There is slim to none chance that you will get b2 visa so I wouldn't bother applying again. Good luck.

You were denied a B-2 so now you want to get a K-1 (fiance) or CR-1 (spouse...K-3 is effectively dead nowadays) instead? And you never met. And you claimed she was just a friend. This whole set of events along with the timeline is probably going to look fishy.

For reference, the invitation letter and income information from her didn't help with the tourist visa process. There is no sponsorship for a tourist visa.

 

Regarding the K-1, you need to have met at least once in the past 2 years before you can file for it. And you must be engaged (nothing formal...just an agreement to marry within 90 days of entry). Only 1 visit in person is risky in most cases IMO.

As for a CR-1, you need to be married (and you can't just do a proxy marriage as you still must meet after the marriage in that case in order to file).

The first thing to address is this.  No one should ever seriously consider marriage before actually meeting, in my opinion.  At only 21 years old, you have a LOT of life left.  Don't rush it....lol

@geowrian is correct, if the tourist visa was just for visiting why now leap to marriage if it wasn’t plan all along. They assumed you had immigrant intent so denied you and now you are wanting to get an immigrant visa so it looks like they were right. 

 

Why not not meet in your country or a third country you can both get to? If you just want to vacation and meet this girl then seeing her in your country would be fine right? 

 

Is is she a friend of the family or did you meet online? All answers from your tourist visa application will be available to any subsequent interview, if friend of the family you might be asked how she came to be known to your family and show she is known by other members of the family.

Everything said here is the truth.  Lying on the B2 can make them believe that you are trying to commit visa fraud.  Marrying someone you haven't met will make them believe you are trying to commit visa fraud.  You age and situation work against you.

 

But...love is not easy.  This process is not easy.  This process is not cheap.  If you are willing to put in years of effort and are willing to meet and follow all of the requirements you can do anything.  It is up to you.  The effort will be large and the stress will be high.  If you can prove it is a true love and you are willing to work to make this work, you can do it.  If that sounds too hard then don't even bother.  That isn't real love.

 

For real, true, honest love you will do whatever you need to do to prove to the CO that your love is real and that you need to be with her.

There are many reasons for denying a b2 visa--there is no sure reason either for being approved. In the end it all depends on the consulate who interviewed you. Some consulates just base it on your answers and won't even ask for any paperwork. 

 

Have you two met in person? It is a prerequusite for the k1 visa is meeting at least once in the past 2 years. You would also need a ton of evidence to back your application. I would suggest building your relationship before thinking of marriage.

Romania is not considered high fraud when it comes to fiance and spouse visas.

Did you meet her at a wedding 2-3 years ago? Is she already married? If so, has she got a divorce?
