Hi everyone!

So we have not received written confirmation of approval but when my husband contacted the USCIS and entered our case number, an automated messaged advised that as of today (February 13, 2018) our case has been approved and sent to the Department of State NVC for processing. YAY!  I have just requested my criminal background check and scheduled an appointment with my family doctor to go over my immunization records before eventually scheduling the medical exam pre-interview.

Although I feel pretty knowledgeable of the process based on all of my research - I was just wondering if someone could provide a quick step-by-step here of what I need to do following receipt of NOA2 and what I can expect?  It would be greatly appreciated.  I have read the procedures and guidelines here but  a real-life experience and accounting would be incredibly helpful!!

Thanks in advance and I hope my request is not too bothersome!

:)

it has been a couple of years when I did the process for my wife. you should receive  a welcome letter from the NVC . but it is best if you start calling NVC  after a  couple of weeks to see if the NVC has receive your case and assign invoice number. You will need names and birth date of you and your spouse when calling the NVC.

There is two process involved with the NVC

1. Is the payment of the fees

2. Is reviewing of the Documents

When I did the process you could send in the documents before you paid the fees because it was taking so  long for the NVC to review documents

I do not know if that is the case now

You should gather all the documents you will need for your IV and AOS  packets

Good luck and hopefully it will not be much longer for  you and your spouse to be together
