My husband and I have been married for 3 years. I came to the US with the student visa. We were studying at the same university in North Carolina. After graduate, he joins the Army. He has been moved a lot of different states. Right now he is in Hinesville GA. I had a trouble to find a job there in small town. I started to apply anywhere lucky I got a good job in New York. We try to see each other every month and holiday as much as we can. I am a conditional permanent resident, and I am going to apply to a permanent resident in the next 3 months. My husband and I don’t know where we can apply I-751. We consider that we are North Carolina resident. We bought a house together in NC, and entire his family are in town too. His army contract will end next 2 years and we both move back to NC. Here are few questions I need help with. Which state should I use to apply for my green card?  Moving around with soldier will really affect my career special for the student just graduated like me. For my situation, what should I do when I applying for the permanent resident?  Please give me advice and relieve me of my concern.
Thank you

You are looked at as more leniently than regular people filing for PR because of forced separation. So just go ahead and apply for it and their shouldn't be a problem.

BTW where in NC? I am from Greensboro but living in Sanford now.
