Hi All,

 

I need help urgently. I applied for the CR-1 for my husband last week. I accidentally used his old passport, completely forgot he renewed his passport. So the copy of his passport and passport number in the I-130 are the old one. What can I do to fix this?

I don't think it's a big issue. The beneficiary's passport isn't needed with the I-130 (it was at some point in the past). When he gets to the DS-260, he should use his current passport information, and should probably bring both passports with him to the interview just in case.

 

For reference, you filed an I-130 petition for your husband....nobody has filed for a CR-1 visa yet.

Thank you so much @geowrian, you are always here to rescue us! The I-130 does ask for his passport number and I submitted a copy of his passport. I am scared it gets rejected for me submitting the old info accidentally.
