Hello, I'm getting ready to file a I-130 petition for my stepson, he is unmarried and 17 y/o. I know I need to mail the petition to the Phoenix Lockbox, but which Service Center actually ends up processing the petition? I live in Florida. Thanks.

You wont know until you mail it and they send you the acceptance notice and tell you where they routed it.

Thanks for the reply EandH0904. Do you happen to know if there's a choice when the beneficiary is not in the US to do AOS when they get here or they need to do the Residency process at the overseas post? Also, if they are getting their green card overseas, is there an additional fee on top of the current I-130 $535 filing fee? Thanks for your help.

no one knows

but you will need permission from other parent to allow this child to leave the country (still a  child to age 21  by immigration)

and the child needed to be listed on original petition

No such thing as getting a green card overseas.  What will happen is that they consulate will issue a visa that makes the alien eligible for a green card ONLY when they enter the USA

YMMV

No it is not.  Consular processing is done where you locally file abroad a petition which results may result in a visa to enter the USA.  The consular does not ever issue a green card

YMMV

Yes, even if you read this closely, it goes on to say that you will receive an immigrant visa which provides the eligibility to receive a green card but only AFTER you are allowed entry into the USA.

To do consular processing it is not a choice made by the alien but only if the USC petitioner is abroad and is eligible to file the petition.  Not available in every country either even if the petitioner is abroad.

If you mean Direct Consular Processing, it only applies if petitioner and immigrant live abroad.
