I have a question regarding the K1 process.

Our case already left the NVC to the consulate in Cd. Juarez, my fiancé (petitioner) already received a letter from the consulate but the thing is, while checking the flowchart here, on step 8 it reads "Forms and Checklist sent to foreign Beneficiary (Fiance/e)." yet I haven't received any mail from the consulate.

Should I go ahead an fill out the DS-160 and follow the steps given on the letter that my fiancé received or should I wait for the forms and checklist to arrive? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Follow the steps on the letter

The same letter would be mailed out to both petitioner and beneficiary.  If you haven't received it, have your fiance scan and email you the letter and follow the steps on the letter.  When my wife and I went through the process, the letter she was sent wasn't received in Guanajuato until 3 months later, she was already in Washington with me by then.  A lot of it has to do with the mail system I think.

Hi Jose, that's great.

How much time did took to the consulate letter got to you?

We received the email with a letter from NVC about our case being ready, I followed the steps event though we don't have the embassy invitation letter yet. I have already my medical, CAS and interview schedule; i'm just worried about this:

1) How much time does the embassy letter take to get to us?

2) Does the letter establish an appointment date? or could i keep my actual appointment (if after i receive the embassy letter)?

Best!,

NOA 1: 27/10/2017

NOA 2: 21/04/2018

NVC Letter (CEAC "Ready"): 16/05/2018

Embassy Letter (Invitation): ?????
