Dee&Claudy where are you in the medical? Did you check with the hospital letting them know you interview date?

He went this morning. They did the chest xray and told him to come back on the 22nd to finish it up. They are frustrating the heck out of me. Dont know why they couldnt just do it all today. We couldnt switch because he had already paid the $440. Where did you guys go for your medical?

It’s ok as long as they know the date, and most of the medical can be done and get everything in one day if nothing is wrong.  So everything should be fine as long as they tell you you will get the result in time. I did mine at Dr Gautier first one on the list. I believe some other places are 450 for sole reasons.

Check this forum out it is from 2012 it will be mostly helpful to @kween, but they do have some info about the police certificate, it doesn’t have an answer pertaining to the embassy in Haiti because trust me all embassies  are different and the one in Haiti is especially a pain.

Although some say it’s not need never been ask, at the same time I seen people of k-1 visa review saying it was ask the first time they call you for the document. It’s one of those things!

I was told the DCPJ should be fix by today. And the cost is 102 grds ~1-2 usd. You pay is at the DGI by the airport I believe and then go apply at the DCPJ it’s a freaking mess and complicated I ll make sure not to give them the

Certificate if they don’t ask for it so I can know for sure if it’s needed.

Is it normal for your case to say on hold while its in transfer

I am not sure, I ever heard that nor even knew that a hold status existed for k-1 visa.  Did you call NVC and ask them what that means?

If I read correctly, you will only need the police certificate if you need to clear your name from a prior offense. My fiancé will call the US Embassy at PAP tomorrow. Will give you all an update. 😊

Did you get an answer?

Yes it’s a pain but it’s worth it, if you don’t have it they will not deny you they’ll just tell you to get it although I doubt that they will make a big fuss. But you definitely need the I-134 even if they didn’t ask for it.

So he went for the fourth and final time on friday and of course the machine was still broken lol. And one of the officers said if its still broken today it probably wont be fixed by monday either. So we are going without it. Fingers crossed they dont ask for it. We only have a week left till interview day.

Yes you don’t really have a choice they take about 10-11 days to give you the certificate even if done on monday you wouldn’t be able to get it at normal processing time and I doubt they would do an emergency one since the machine broke for a while and a lot of people would be asking for an emergency one. So even if he goes without he has a valid reason for the embassy, and I am sure other people will have the same problem too. It’s almost time for the interview anyway I am excited for mine but also nervous but I have done everything I could up to this point, I even made a nice folder which have everything they need or might need.
