Let me know if you find out because we can save money if not needed. I searched on here about that and they all say it never asked for because they say it's not reliable

Funny you should say that, I remember once my dad told me if you ask someone in haiti to get there death certificate they will probably get it😂

Try to contact the embassy to get a straight and a more reliable answer, it will probably help future applicants a lot.

Yes i did email them yesterday afternoon so just waiting on response. Hoping they say no lol. It such a pain. Hes been down there like 3 times already not being able to get it. First time when he got there the line was ridiculous, 2nd time he was told he needed embassy letter (thats when i had sent him with his appointment letter and ds160 confirmation page) 3rd time was when they told him "oh machines broken". So hes not going back until i get definitive answer from embassy lol

Yes it’s a pain but it’s worth it, if you don’t have it they will not deny you they’ll just tell you to get it although I doubt that they will make a big fuss. But you definitely need the I-134 even if they didn’t ask for it.

As far as packet 3 goes. Do you have to pay the $265 first or get packet 3 first. Because our case just got transferred to haiti from Dominican republic😁😁😁. And I sent an email to request packet 3 because I was told it takes a while and I wanted to get ahead of it....so now that its there I called and asked if the case number is the same so we can pay the fees and the rep told me that  the same. However don't I need to pay the fees first before they can even send me a packet 3 does anyone know anything about this?

Like N&Rdorcy said doesn’t matter but since you are waiting you can go ahead pay the fee so you can schedule an appointment, after that packet 3 won’t be long so no need to wait around.  I got it fast so did Dee&Claudy I am guessing it takes about a day or two by email if NVC says ready.

Well come to find out it is not in Haiti as I was told. I called back to ask another question about the case number,I needed to know if it was the same. But then they said our case is not there. Smh. So the wait begains again

It’s fine if it’s not in Haiti yet it only take a couple of days or hrs even, because it’s digital. All you need to know is if it’s going to Haiti and the wait won’t be long if it’s going to Haiti.  And did they answer your question about the number being the same? If you check the status and it says in transit to Haiti or they told you that they are doing the transfer you should continue and pay the visa just make sure it’s going to haiti because the money is not refundable or transferable.( I can’t stress that enough because they will let you pay the visa even if it’s not going to Haiti I think, so make suuurrrre.....)

Online it says transfer in progress but what makes me confused to pay the fee right now is the case number. It has my case number then 01 then sdo,but someone that had a case transfer said if should have ptp after the case number for the embassy that it is being transferred to. The first rep said they wmay change the case number And the second rep said they will keep the same case number.I'm confused. And as you said its none refundable so I don't wanna waste money

Yeah I understand what you saying it’s an unfortunate situation where you can’t really have a straight answer.  It’s all base on experience and even the reps probably won’t have a straight answer.  My advice is just relax and wait a bit since it says transfer in progress the SDO after the 01 may change after it says READY.  You shouldn’t worry too much just relax the hardest part is done the rest won’t be bad.

P. S. I don’t relax I am just talking a big game and just repeating what other people told me in these situations.(if the pastor did everything he or she preaches he or she would go straight to heaven but we know that ain’t happening)

Lol, that's funny but true at the same time however I'm not a relaxer either and I know I am not going to relax until our case is fair in Haiti. A lot of people that went through the transfer they were told to wait and be patient I'm sorry but that's not what I'm going to do if I would have waited and being patient like they first told me I don't even think my transfer would be in process because I kept messaging and kept calling is why our case is in transfer to begin with so if I have to continue to call every day which I have been I am going to continue I cannot relax but I do tell everybody else to relax too LOL😄

Yes this wedsite is mainly for advice in my opinion you decide to take them or not.  And what’s the worst that could happen? Them blocking your number, you can just get another one😂. I am kidding obviously I don’t think calling once a day or calling to ask a legit question is too much for NVC, however I wouldn’t recommend it with the uscis because I call them twice in this whole process I felt like they were more hostile.  We paid a good amount of money so a couple of calls for your peace of mind shouldn’t kill them.

For future reference the Haitian consulate info on this website is dead on! So it’s a good guide to know what you need and what to do next. It can’t answer all questions but the info in there are pretty accurate.  The link is somewhere in this forum already but just in case http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Haiti&cty=Port-au-Prince

Except for the medical prices are not accurate. I got an automated response from the inquiry i put in yesterday about the police certificate and it basically refered me to that page you mentioned on here. So no definitive answer. My friend who is going through the k3 process has called nvc twice and asked about this and they told her no its not needed in Haiti. So i dont know. I told him just to be on the safe side to just try to get it.

Yeah you are right about the medical price it’s a bit outdated. It’s higher now. And for the police certificate for k3 I think it’s different because NVC actually process the case I believe but for k1 the consulate does the rest they just forward it. I call to ask them a question about my case after it says ready they basically told me they don’t know anything about what I need just contact the embassy. It is possible you don’t need it and from personal experiences they just ignore you with the danm thing after you went through the trouble but I’ve seen some people who actually said they ask for it although never heard anyone saying they got sent home because of it. So all in all try to the best of your ability to get it but if impossible even the DCPJ will help you out, at least that’s what they told us.
